More: Aktis was named after my girl of 16 years lost the battle to cancer. To honor her I flipped her name Sitka to Aktis. She was the best dog in the world! He has more than lived up to his name. He’s extremely smart, loves all dogs he meets and he’s never met a stranger without a kiss. His presence helped me threw a very hard time. I’ll never replace Sitka, she was my world for so long. But with Aktis, it got just that much easier. December 6 will be three years since I had to say goodby to my best friend.
