More: Andros came to us a Pedro, a potcake pup rescued from the Bahamas during Hurricane Dorian. He was brought to Sebastian, Fl along with 60 other dogs through the collaboration of the Grand Bahama Humane Society & HALO no kill shelter in Fl. The second I saw his picture among the rescues, I knew he was meant to be mine. Andros (named for the Andros Islands) came as a scared, traumatized little pup. He never had a home, as he was a street dog & he was heartworm positive. We had to foster to adopt at first, until his heartworm was taken care of. We went through many ups & downs with him during that time. But with our love, determination, and his need to feel safe, we have all come a long way. We still work with him everyday to feel more & more comfortable. He has been through so much & we are just happy he gets to be ours.
