More: Arlo grew up in Missoula, Montana. He is my first dog and I adore him; he’s such a happy ham — he definitely smiles for the camera now that I’ve conditioned him into hundreds of obnoxious phone pics when he’s smiling or just being generally adorable. I try to include him anytime I can - that means he skis up Lolo Pass and Marshall Mountain, hikes Blue Mountain and Waterworks hill in Zoo town, he goes into the backcountry, camps in the Bitterroot mountains, & spends his summers at Swan Lake in the crown of the continent and on the Big Blackfoot river soaking it all in. He makes life so much better — he really is the embodiment of the quote: “If I could be half the person my dog is I would be twice the man/woman I am.” My bond with him is so deep after a few years and he brightens up everyone’s day when we leave the house to play!
