More: Artie was tossed out of a car onto a lawn when he was 6 months old. Fortunately, he wasn't hurt and also quite luckily, the lawn belonged to an animal lover. He was fostered and his pic was placed online for adoption ... which was where I fell in love at first sight. He is a certified therapy dog, and has done therapy work at schools and nursing homes and libraries. He is the sweetest, smartest, wackiest, most loving friend I could ever hope for. P.S. He is named for Artemus Gordon (from the tv show "The Wild Wild West"), one of my childhood favorite tv characters.
