More: She is a rescue shipped to Michigan's Ottawa County Humane Society from Tennessee with 20 other puppies in need of homes. We are boaters, and Ava has exceeded our expectations in that environment, as we were told she is a hunting breed only. In addition, I am a Clinical Social Worker and provide counseling and coaching to individuals, families and children. I used Ava as a "therapy dog" from 3 months to 2 years old in that work setting, and she provided a calming force to all my clients. Ava loves hiking and swimming and is the fastest dog at the park. She has added so much love and humor to our home and family members!
