More: Beau was found abandoned on the side of a highway in Bakersfield, CA during the COVID summer of 2020, and first fostered then adopted by my son, Alex. After restrictions lifted and Alex had to return to work, Beau made an improbable journey across the entire country (with a memorable stop in Las Vegas) to arrive at our home in Jamestown, RI. While summers remind him most of sunny California, and he has come to enjoy swimming in the ocean, he likes winters best, since he can roam the public golf course and Jamestown’s many other beautiful coastal spaces.
