More: Beauregard lived a wonderful life. In his time he got to swim in the warm coastal waters of Pensacola, FL and enjoy the snow and sunshine of Colorado. In 2015, at the age of 16 he went to dog heaven. The open field in the picture was his favorite place to go for a walk. Years after this picture was taken, the field was turned into a housing development, but the street that ran across the hill there is now named “Rainbow Bridge Drive”.
