More: Bernie (lab) and Nemo (shepherd) were the best of friends and protectors any human could have. They were my childhood dogs and brothers growing up. They were with me through everything and that is not an exaggeration: pre-teen changes, teenage drama, depression, breakups, college acceptances, anxiety, college graduation, first job / career out of college. They will forever be in my heart and are so dearly missed. While I have other dogs (2 corgis) in my life that serve as my “children”, I will never forget the love they have for me as they watch me from above. They deserve to be recognized for the unconditional love they supported me with through my life.
