More: At 72 I decided that I had to have another Golden Retriever in my life and one that was mine....answered to me and obeyed my commands. As empty nesters now ( there are no kids around to claim his attention) this lovable animal has filled a void in me and definitely only gives more than he receives. He is smart but goofy, large (72 lbs.) but gentle, sweetest ever with the grands and has become my loyal sidekick and a constant irritant to the cat (who really does think he is a dog)! There is just something about those Golden eyes that will melt your heart!
