More: My daughter and I got Brodie when his owner could no longer care for him. We'd lost our beloved Lab, Walnut, a year before and had been looking for another dog, knowing that the right one would come to us. I've been a pet sitter and a caregiver at a local animal shelter, and I know well that dogs often end up needing a new home, and we were thrilled to offer a forever home to this sweet GR. In this photo, he is joined by my niece's West Highland terrier puppy, Fiona. She can keep up with Brodie easily!
