More: Buck was born a few days after his mother was rescued, along with seven other large dogs, from being chained to a junk yard fence. He was one of 10 gorgeous puppies who needed immediate rescue – his intense face on the rescue website spoke to us, we rescued him, named him “Buck” (after Buck in "Call of the Wild"), and he’s been an amazing member of our family since he was 5 weeks old (his mother stopped feeding the pups). He is super smart, energetic, incredibly loving, and loyal – everyone loves Buck! Buck is the ultimate adventure dog. His favorite activities are family backpacking trips in the Sierra Nevada and hikes in the Santa Monica mountains. He proudly wears his Orvis backpack and his dog boots. He is truly the best dog ever.
