More: This was our beloved rescue girl Cassie whom we sadly had to say goodbye to in December 2019. Unfortunately she passed before her time, which was the hardest thing we've ever had to go through. What can I tell you about her? She was our world and best friend. She had spent her first 2 years of her life being over-looked in kennels, until we found each other. She was the brightest, kindest, sweetest and loving dog I have ever known. She adored being around us and us with her. She was always excited to learn new tricks, lived for playing fetch and loved nothing more than snuggling on the sofa under a blanket next to us. Despite how she looked, she was the most gentle and caring dog who always wanted to keep the peace. She was more than just a dog, she was our companion and family. As painful as it is to look at photos of her still, I am also so grateful I have them and thought this could be the right time to honour her memory. She loved an adventure but at the end of the day, as long as we were together she was happy and lived her life to the fullest. This image is so incredibly special to us as it was when we shared her first snow experience together. She was completely amazed by it all and looked so free and happy jumping in and out of a bed of snow. I feel this image captures her sweet nature and a special time for us.
