More: I adopted Chance as a “special needs” adult dog while I was a college student after he had been returned to the shelter several times already. Always ready for a good hike or an early morning snuggle, Chance has been with me throughout every step of my undergraduate and veterinary education. He’s been the most patient study companion - less than 1 month until he gets to watch my virtual graduation and I can become his own personal veterinarian!
