More: Charley joined our family at 8 weeks old. She was a beautiful, friendly, cuddly puppy that stole our hearts immediately. We lost our other beagle two months earlier-Charley was just what our family needed. It was mentioned to us that her father was a champion hunter-we didn’t pay much attention to that-we just wanted a family dog. Charley soon began to exhibit those hunting skills. No rabbit, bird or squirrel was welcome in her backyard. She is very proud to bring her “trophies” to us. We recently moved to the country, where she has a river, acres of land, and endless wildlife to keep her busy. Charley’s favorite pastime are is standing on the fallen tree trunk in the river, barking at the kayakers, ducks, muskrats, and turtles. Charley has a younger rescue brother beagle, Cooper. She definitely reminds us that she was here first, but has helped Cooper learn how to be a proper beagle. This spoiled girl is very intelligent, has a nose that can get her in trouble, loyal to her human family, and a champion food beggar.
