More: For Chilly’s Thanksgiving birthday we hiked the Glassy Mountain Trail at Carl Sandburg’s park in Flat Rock, North Carolina. Her manners were impeccable and she lifts the spirit of everyone who meets her. While having a companion that can adapt to any environment, I’m just plain proud of her willingness to recognize when people are anxious or scared. Chilly is an official “Bark Ranger” and the perfect friend to hike with.
