More: Cocoa is a rescue from a shelter in Memphis, she came up with a truckload of dogs via the East Coast highways. She was picked up in Connecticut and weighed 22 pounds. She survived life on the streets of Memphis with her cunning and stamina. On the ferry on the way back to Long Island, a student left a bottle of water on his seat. Cocoa looked around, then went over and picked the bottle up and bit it. With her head tilted back she quenched her thirst. She has been a loyal dog ever since! She loves the ocean. My wife loves walking the beach with her too!
