More: Dixie is my first dog in more than 20 years. She was worth the wait! She is fun, loving, super energetic and has mastered the "poor me" whimper and the infamous puppy dog eyes. My husband, who was completely against getting a dog, can be seen gleefully playing with Dixie and let's her take naps on his lap for hours . Dixie has rejuvenated both of us old folks. The only question left is... when do I get the next one?
