More: Dixie Lou was found as a stray in rural Arkansas in March right when Covid was starting. She got us through quarantine and a tough 2020. My husband was wrapping up cancer treatment, I was in hospital for 6 weeks with life threatening sepsis, my dad died, my mom has had a stroke and cannot live alone so she came to live with us. Through it all Dixie saved us. She rescued us, we did not rescue her!
