More: Dug is in formal training with BluePath Service Dogs to become an autism service dog for a child. His primary role will be to provide safety for a child out in public. The dogs are trained to prevent a child from bolting, either into the street or away from parents in a crowded area. They also provide children with much needed companionship, increased social acknowledgment from peers, opportunities for independence and increased levels of confidence. Dug is just as beautiful on the inside as he is on the outside. He’s a gentle giant, loving, and loyal. We are all looking forward to seeing the difference that Dug will make in the life of a child someday.
