More: We rescued Eli at one year old and at seven, he became a registered therapy dog with Therapy Dog International which is based in New Jersey. He loves the outdoors as well as hiking and traveling with us all over the country. He's been to Colorado, Utah and all of New England. He is now suffering from lumbar degeneration and still hikes with us at a much slower rate. He is young at heart! This picture is him when he was 8.
