More: We lost one of our beloved dogs, Lily 13 year old Wheaten , in August of 2020. For months, we scoured rescue sites for a pup to adopt. Our 11 year old Border Collie Buddy was so lonely! Suddenly, we saw this photo on a rescue site not too far away from us. We and applied to meet her and we’re the first on the list to meet her. She was described as 1/2 Wheaten and 1/2 Border Collie—as if Lily & Buddy had a puppy! We later learned that she was rescued from a reservation and had been treated for Valley Fever! She has permanent damage to her right front leg, but does very well and is a sweet and living addition to our family.
