More: We fostered Elske’s mom and litter from when the pups were 5 days old. Their mom was a stray from Texas. They went outside for the first time when they were 4 weeks old. With our Chicago winter, all they know is snow. They love it. We adopted Elske—after 183 fosters, she’s the keeper.
