More: I adopted Emmie a few months after my Dad and 18 year old son died of cancer. She has been pivotal in my process of grieving. She is always near me. She stays close to me at all times. She senses when l am feeling down or sad, because she will climb right on top of me if l begin to have tears fall. She has saved me in every sense. She saved me from my overwhelming grief. She gave me reason to get out of bed. She also constantly pushes me to get outside and enjoy nature and our World. There is no doubt that she saved my life, and continues to love and be there for me every day since.
