More: Gabriel came into our lives 11 years ago when my husband found him on the street after someone had abandoned him. He was about 8 months old and covered in mange. We brought him to a local vet for medical care and spent the next week looking for a home for him. We had our Mastiff mix Sebastian at home and weren’t sure if we could bring another dog into our home as Sebastian had issues and needed a lot of attention. My husband and Gabriel had a bond right away and we took a chance and brought the two boys together and after a lot of work and luck they became best friends, or as we called them “brothers”. Gabriel was very good for Sebastian, especially as he got older. I think it was meant for Gabriel to come into our lives. Everything happens for a reason.
