Ghillie (liver) and Rocco (black)

Golden hour after a long day of fly fishing in northern Michigan

More: Ghillie and Rocco are liter mates (sister and brother) from Michigan. They are trained bird dogs who also enjoy fly fishing. However, they are both much better at flushing birds than trout. Ghillies name was inspired from the Scottish term for “ a hunting and fishing guide” My husband and I went to Scotland for our honeymoon to fly fish on the river Tay, we had a Ghillie and when we heard what it meant we knew we had to name our future dog that. My sister got Rocco and couldn’t resist the Italian name. We have a lot more pictures if you’re interested! Cheers
