More: We rescued Ginger when her owner passed away after years of dealing with Alzheimeir's disease. The owner's son was very particular about getting an older couple (preferably retired) who would be home during the day. We had lost a rescued black lab we'd had for 10 years. After a year we were finally ready to adopt another canine. Ginger was a perfect fit!
