More: Ginger was our first dog. We brought home this little, red-haired sweetheart when she was just 8 weeks old. Although she is entering her mature years, she is still young at heart and full of energy. She loves to stare out a window or sit on a deck, just observing the sights and sounds of nature. Ginger is a loyal companion with unconditional love and the sweetest demeanor. She is truly a walking miracle after she suffered a back injury, leaving her paralyzed for weeks. She underwent spine surgery and weeks of physical therapy to learn how to walk again. She never lost her fighting spirit and was determined to run and play again. True to her breed, Ginger is a Velcro dog and wants to be anywhere her humans are—and that is okay with me. She is the best girl!
