Ginger

I'm here, are you?

More: We lost Maya at twelve years old to cancer last January. Ginger has been with us for about four and a half months. She is my third dog, the others were Border collie/Australian shepherd types, and she is a new world. Like my other dogs, she is quick to learn, amazingly agile and athletic, and nothing aggressive, indeed, she is a sweet soul. Unlike my other dogs, I think she doesn't live to learn, but learns to live. She is an amazing dog already. We're in the woods every day. She is amazing with everything that being in the woods off leash requires. Training every day 24/7 yes, but she is off leash, 90% recall in the woods, and a beautiful thing to see when she is there. As exemplified in this photo, she loves high places, rocks, logs, etc. We will be doing agility when she's old enough, maybe obedience too, and we can't wait to take her with us to more challenging hikes. I have great snow photos of her too, but I thought this one would be different from any other. So curious, so strong, so comfortable and adept in the outdoors... She is an exceptional, outdoors, mixed breed dog, and she's still just a puppy. We are very happy to have the Orvis Gate and the Orvis Pen that we have :) I like the idea of representing more mixed breeds on an Orvis cover, and it seems fitting for 2021 :) This photo may not be good enough, but I’ll try for better if necessary. Ginger is a great model for the outdoors dog that you're looking for for an Orvis 2021 cover dog.
