More: Gracie is a rescue dog adopted after severe flooding in western Louisiana in 2015. She was pulled from a kill shelter and shipped to the eastern part of the state where she found us as a foster puppy. She is a water dog and loves boating and chasing chipmunks when she spends summers and falls in the Adirondacks each year. I fly fish in the West Ausable with her on a long leash and she wades with me looking for big fish chasing little bugs....
