More: We rescued Groot when he was a little over a year old from a local animal shelter. He was already 67lbs and still growing. Little did we know when we got him he also had double lung pneumonia. After piles of vet bills and medications he was able to start to thrive. He’s been such an amazing family dog, and good with our little son. He’s very vocal and affectionate with us and has a friendly demeanor towards other dogs when playing in a group. He is currently 77lbs and 29” at the shoulders. Counter surfing is his new hobby so that makes leaving food out a game of capture the flag.
