More: Gus & I were a therapy dog team at my middle school for 5 years. He greeted students off the bus & started their day in such a positive manner . Distraught students were drawn to him & often would 'collapse' beside him & hug/pet him. He was oblivious to the hair tugs from our disabled students & loved them unconditionally. Unfortunately, as you may have seen on national news in May of 2018, we had a school shooting at our school, Noblesville West Middle School. Gus was there & went with all of the students to the safe location. Honestly, I think he was missed more than me when we retired in 2019! He is definitely a one-of-a-kind type of dog..... and very photogenic!
