More: Hans is a service dog who lives at a homeless shelter for veterans in Rochester, NY. He takes walks daily with the residents from the shelter up to a park that has memorials for Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan veterans. He was rescued from a kill shelter and provides endless comfort to the men he lives with, many of whom probably feel like Hans did when he first arrived- uncertain, lonely, but hopeful for a better life.
