More: Hayden was released to us by a service dog organization primarily for the needs of our son. Hayden was 18 months at the time and our son was 5. They have grown up together and Hayden has been the best pal, companion and comfort to our boy. Our son is now 17 and as we journey into Hayden’s twilight years…we tread lightly and cherish each moment of each day with him. He has served our family eagerly over the years and we are so grateful to have been entrusted with him. He truly has been one of the greatest gifts in our family’s life and regardless of the days he has left with us here on earth…he will forever be a touchstone in our hearts.
