More: Hazel is a surf and turf dog through and through. She loves the water and she loves the land. Along with her Jack Russell companion, Rooster and their son, Sturgill, she covers our 500 acre parcel on the river on the regular. She ventures to the Boundary Waters every year for her week of swimming and canoeing. She has had the luck to do her job as a herder when we had our herd of Scottish Highland cattle. Hazel had cancer two years ago and we are so fortunate that we were able to heal fully from that. This picture was taken during her bout. Eye on the skies Ms. Hazel. You are my queen.
