Helo

For big boys large or small

More: Helo is incredibly smart. He learns new tricks all the time and has a large vocabulary. He was rescued from a high kill shelter in Los Angeles and spent the first 5.5 months of his life in a cage, unable to socialize with people or other dogs, because his owner went to jail and the court date hadn’t passed yet. They couldn’t risk losing or injuring someone’s “personal property.” I visited him every day for those months and sat with him for hours to bond through the bars. Helo is a true explorer. He does whitewater rafting and sits on top of the gear pile like a barrelman, blond waves whipping in the wind, steely in the face of spitting rapids. He loves to dive in deep piles of snow (and eventually needs to be carried home). He is majestic.
