More: My dog was going to be put down in 3 days when a friend got him out of a shelter around 12 years ago. She already had a large dog and wanted to know if I would take him because she could not handle having two. She named him Hines after Hines Ward who played for the Pittsburgh Steelers(we are both fans). I met Hines, kept him, and I don't know what I would do without him! He has been with me through a lot of hard times in life. We go on the trails here every day, and usually for an hour or more. He goes almost everywhere I go. He is very protective and a big baby, too. I love my dog so much!
