Hunter

Did someone say squirrel?

More: Hunter is a rescue dog that I adopted from the Mount Pleasant, MI. animal rescue. He had been labeled "potentially dangerous" when he was dropped off at the rescue after someone seen him wondering in the streets. They opened their back door and he hopped in. I had been looking for a lab as our last one passed a couple of years earlier. After looking at the other dogs at the rescue I mentioned I didn't see the lab I came to look at. The attendant said he was locked in an Off Limit caged area in the rear and let me see him. It was love at first sight! He turned out to be stubborn as he didn't like the noose they put around his neck and layed down and wouldn't budge and growled when they came close. They let me adopt him but only for a seven day trial. By the time I went back to officially adopt him he performed a few tricks that I had taught him during the week. He also followed all the seven basic commands that I showed them. He then became a member of the family! He's the third Lab mix we've adopted, the best dog of all of them.
