More: Izzy was shot in the spine and left for dead by her first owner. She dragged her legs into the road until someone found her and took her to a kill shelter in Texas. A rescue called Paws R Us, in Canada, rescued her and found her a foster mommy. I adopted Izzy because I had a 12 hour brain tumour resection and had to relearn how to walk. I knew what it was like to be a spectator in my life and not be able to be participate in normal daily activities. I wanted to give this dog a chance at q normal life. I tried to rehabilitate Izzy' s legs, but they are too contracted. So she has a set of wheels and participates in life like any other dog!!! I would like to get her legs amputated and fitted with prosthetics but that is like a dream and would require more money than I have.
