More: Jackie is the sweetest and happiest dog and the absolute BEST hiking partner I've ever had. He is the 13th dog I've lived with and he is an amazing all-around athlete. He can catch any ball, swim any river, hike any mountain, and is my dearest companion. My daughter found a tiny black kitten on the streets of Brooklyn a year after we adopted Jack and he became her surrogate father. This summer we adopted a neglected Boxer puppy (Dog # 14!) and Jackie took it all in stride. I wish every lover of dogs a relationship like the one I have with Jack.
