Jake

“Jeep Ride”

More: Here is a picture of our Jake with my husband. We lost Jake 3 yrs ago at 9 yrs old with sudden pancreatic issues. He was the BEST dog anyone could ever ask for. Such a smart dog. So intelligent, he was so in tune to my husband that he was able to detect when my husbands sugar was dropping in the middle of the night and woke him to alert him. They were inseparable from day one. We brought him home at 12# and he was a little “bulldozer” with his head when he plowed into the pillows on the bed. Which is why we named him Big Jake BD Winchester. (BD for bulldozer) When my husband passed away In 2016, Jake was lost w/o him. It was so so hard to watch him grieve and cry. Yes he actually had tears fall from his eyes. I gave him one of daddy’s t shirts to sleep with and he always laid his head on it at night. He was more human than dog we always said. Jake was special. One of a kind. He was such a sweet lovable boy who didn’t have one mean bone in his body. Nothing but 120# of pure muscle, a dog that was all puppy. Never rough, never mean, always such a gentle one ... one who woke you each day with his sweet kisses. He was always ready to jump in the Jeep with “dad” and take a ride or run and catch the frisbee in the yard. He loved the snow. Always jumping and running. He loved the boat & dads fishing trips too. There will never be another one like him and knowing they are together again, walking side by side forever helps my heart smile just a little...because they have each other again and together is where they were both their happiest.
