More: Jake is a very laid back and friendly companion. He becomes a lot less laid back and a lot more friendly when we are at our lakehouse. It’s there that Jake will make a sudden sprint out to the porch and leap over the railing to head out to run with the deer and visit the neighbors. We do take him on walks and try to keep him on a long leach when outside, but Jake has become the master of faking being asleep and bolting into a fast getaway when he senses the right opportunity. Fortunately, our neighbors love him as much as we do.
