More: Jake is a spunky teenager Labrador, who reminds you of a bear cub in stature and cuteness. Jake was born into the Southeastern Guide Dogs puppy in training program. He scored the highest in his litter on early assessments. However, at 9 months he was diagnosed with porencephaly, a rare condition that means he has only a 25% developed brain. Although Jake is healthy, sweet and smart, his condition causes fluid on the brain and sometimes an awkward paw placement. His diagnosis, which for him appears to be non-lifethreatening, means he is now our family pet. He's as sweet as can be, and possesses special talents like high-jumping and an affinity for exceptional loyalty.
