Jincey Jane

A Chill Moment

More: It is a family tradition to name our dogs in alphabetical order, skipping vowels. When I laid eyes on my "J-dog," I knew exactly what to name her. "Jincey Jane" Hart was my great-great-great-great-grandmother (born in 1790 in Northampton, VA), and quite the troublemaker! Jincey Jane, my llewellin, has the confidence, charisma and attitude that I imagine her namesake to have had as well. Jincey Jane can go from an airplane to a quail field and a trout stream to a ski mountain, like she's done this her entire life. She loves apple cinnamon breakfast bars after a long hike, and curling up in front of the fire on a snowy day. This is titled "A Chill Moment" because this photo reminds me that despite the hectic nature of packing, preparing, driving, unloading and knotted lines and leashes, fishing with your number one buddy is what truly makes it all worth it.
