More: Joy was the sweetest soul. She loved the outdoors and going for walks. Her favorite past time was sitting with her dad on the lawn and watching the sunset. Sadly, at 18 months old, she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, an incurable bone cancer that is common in giant dog breeds and we lost her the day after Christmas. Her name fit her so well. She was a gentle soul with a big heart. If selected, I read that a donation would be given to a fund to help with canine cancer research. so I thought it was appropriate to enter in the hope if Joy was selected, she can inspire others to donate to help other dogs with curable cancer.
