Juno

Rescue Dogs Are The Best!

More: We got Juno from a rescue breeder 3 hours south of us in June Lake, Ca. She spent the first year of her life on the streets of Los Angeles, Ca. with no owners as far as anyone can tell. Juno ended up in a kill shelter in Baldwin Park, Ca. and was set to be put down in a matter of days as they do not give dogs too long there to be adopted before being put down. While there, Juno caught the eye of a staff member at the kill shelter who kept moving her around from cage to cage like a shell game to avoid being killed. This staff member then arranged for her to be transported to the rescue breeder in June Lake, Ca. where we found her and adopted her soon after. She has been the sweetest and best behaved dog my wife and I have ever owned. She sticks to us like velcro. She always stays within eyesight no matter what we are doing. We can use voice commands, learned in obedience training, and they work in every situation. Juno has seen the rough streets, and has no interest in losing her pack ever again. Her absolute favorite activity is going mountain biking in the Sierra Nevadas where we live, but she loves any activity - as long as she is with us. Juno is happy all the time, which reminds us we need to always find joy in whatever we are doing. Rescue dogs bring out the best in you.
