More: Kaya Bear was born and raised in the greater Sierra Nevada mountain range. He currently lives in the North Cascades of Western Washington. He is a specially trained medical alert service dog and has travelled many place for work, including all the way to Atlanta, GA for clinical research meetings at the CDC. When he is not working, Kaya is an impeccable outdoorsman specializing in stick selection (preferably Sugar pine), jumping from granite boulders into crystal clear alpine waters, and searching his embroidered Orvis travel bag for salmon skin. Kaya is also a skilled angler, ensuring the fish stories are aways memorable. Life is good.
