More: We said goodbye to Makana on December 16, 2019, a few months after her 16th birthday. This photo is one of my favorite photos of Koa and Makana. They loved running and exploring the beach together. Makana had a lot of eye issues the last few years of her life, but she wore her Doggles like a champ and didn't let anything stop her.
