Kratos at Newport Beach

More: I adopted Kratos from the San Diego Humane Society Shelter three years ago, and though adopting him has been a lot more of a learning curve than anticipated - I wouldn’t trade him for anything. He loves the beach, runs wild and digs ecstatically in the sand, and it’s in those moments that I feel so lucky to be his pet parent. I see how happy and at peace he is, and I understand what love means. Right after this photo was taken, he put his paws on my legs, asking me in his way to pick him up. I held him on my shoulder as we walked the strand together at sunset, his tail up and his eyes constantly curious. So, I find this photo to be meaningful because I will always associate these memories of him living and loving life with me.
