More: I rescued Kya in July 2019 from a shelter in California after moving from Alabama the month prior. I didn’t know anyone. She had been adopted and returned multiple times due to her extremely separation anxiety. After a few weeks/months of blood, sweat, and tears, we learned to trust each other. Now we travel the west coast together.. and in July 2021 Kya and I will embark on a cross country road to Philadelphia, PA.
