More: Leia is a rescue from NC now calling TX home. Abandoned in the woods to die over a frigid winter, she used her survivor skills to follow lights to a housing development where she was caught and after some care sent to a rescue. That’s how we adopted THE LEIA! She is a loner now. She was not properly socialized but loves kids, people and fun adventures! She swims (the beach is her happy place) and rides the bike trails in her own trailer behind Daddy’s bike. She is a miracle dog surviving six bouts of cancer including metastatic thyroid cancer, cardiomyopathy, osteoarthritis and ACL reconstruction.
